KÖPP presents new “heavyweights” in technical foams at Foam Expo Europe 2026
From 10 to 12 November 2026, the foam industry will meet again in Stuttgart; following a change to the trade fair cycle, the next event will not take place until 2028. KÖPP will once again be exhibiting at Stand 520 this year – showcasing new materials, tried-and-tested solutions and a wealth of European manufacturing expertise. There’s plenty to discover:
EVA & PE in a wide range of densities and countless colours
Closed-cell EVA and PE grades with densities of up to 400 kg/m³ are now available in a wide range of densities and in countless colours. These materials combine effective cushioning and comfortable pressure distribution with reliable support, good resilience and dimensional stability.
They are particularly suitable for orthopaedic applications, including insoles, orthoses, prosthetic covers and padding. KÖPP’s closed-cell EVA and PE foam blocks are available in thicknesses of up to 110 mm.
Hard not heavy: EPDM-HL
Another highlight at the show demonstrates how a specific customer requirement can lead to a new material solution. The challenge was to develop an EPDM foam combining high firmness with comparatively low weight.
Together with the project team of an automotive customer, KÖPP developed a grade tailored to this requirement. Today, the material also opens up possibilities for other applications where stability, cushioning and weight reduction need to come together.
High-density sponge rubber: flexible and mechanically robust
Also new are sponge rubber sheets with densities from 300 to 800 kg/m³. Their dense outer skin and high resilience combine flexibility with high mechanical strength – ideal for demanding sealing, damping and insulation applications.
EPDM in continuous rolls: proven and further developed
The semi-open cell EPDM-2000 series will of course also be on show, available in continuous rolls of up to 20 metres without joints.
The range of semi-open cell cellular rubber is complemented by EPDM SC-W. Thanks to its particularly fine cell structure, the material achieves reliable watertightness even at low compression, enabling reduced material usage.
Sustainability starts with the material
EPDM and PE grades based on ISCC-certified raw materials, together with the use of KÖPP’s own in-house recyclate, help conserve resources and reduce the product carbon footprint – an issue that has long been a focus for KÖPP.
For applications where particularly low emissions are required, KÖPP offers EPDM-S LE, a material with very low VOC and FOG values – making it particularly interesting for applications such as automotive interiors. KÖPP lists EPDM-S LE in its low emission product category.
